Terms of Service
These terms govern use of the BUS Watchdog service and buswatchdog.com, operated by BUS — Business Utility System ("BUS," "we," "us"). By using the service, you agree to them.
The service
BUS Watchdog connects to your business's QuickBooks Online account, with your authorization, to monitor invoicing activity and deliver reports and alerts. Features may be added, changed, or improved over time, particularly during pilot programs.
Your account and authorization
- You confirm you are authorized to connect your business's accounting data to the service.
- You are responsible for keeping your own email and QuickBooks accounts secure.
- You may disconnect the service from your QuickBooks settings at any time.
Your data
Your business data belongs to you. We use it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Reporting features read your data; the service does not modify your accounting records unless you expressly enable a feature that does so and approve its actions.
Fees
Pilot participation may be offered free of charge. Paid plans, when offered, will be agreed in writing before any billing begins. We will never charge you without a clear prior agreement.
Reasonable use
You agree not to misuse the service — including attempting to access other customers' data, reverse engineering the service, or using it for unlawful purposes.
Important limitations
- Reports and alerts are informational tools to help you run your business. They are not accounting, tax, or legal advice, and you remain responsible for your business's financial decisions and records.
- The service depends in part on third-party systems (such as Intuit's platform and email providers) that we do not control; we are not responsible for their outages or errors.
- The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Ending the service
You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end service for misuse or non-payment, with notice where practical. On request after ending service, we will delete your business data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms; we will update the date above and notify active customers of material changes by email. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States.
